Wanaka - New Zealand. That was my first kayak lesson with Master Adam. We cruised on lake Wanaka for around four hours. Really good fun an beautiful views, but I have still a bad right arm. I should work again on my technique - I guess.

We were pretty lucky with the waether as you can see. Apart from the most beautiful it is also one of the most wettest spots in the world.

The Kepler Great walk

Uli looking good! :) 3 Days of trekking on the Kepler great walk (near Te anau south island new zealand)- lots of nice views perfect weather, great track the only complaint was blood filled blisters on the last day ouch!

Say hello to my little friend

Meet my new friend, this friendly fella greeted us on Ulva island Bird Sanctuary not far from Stewart Island, This guy was well happy. But the bad news is this bird sanctuary has just been infested with rats and his number might be up. There is a big bone of contention with the locals who are split between spraying the whole island from the air with rat poison or trying to set thousands of traps, one thing they agree on is they need to decide by next week though as the rats are multiplying fast and will certainly wipe out the rare bird population within a couple of months

Radler bier on Stewart Island

Stewart Island - Halfmoon Bay - 13 03 2011: I was pretty impressed to find Radler beer here on Stewart Island, even more because of the German spelling. Taste was nearly as good as home. Cheers!!!
